SurveyPalSurveyPal for installers

The survey is done when the surveyor leaves.

Not when someone's deciphered the handwriting and retyped it into the supplier's portal. SurveyPal captures the survey properly on site, checked against regs and your rules while the surveyor's still at the window.

Every survey gets done twice.

Your surveyor visits site with a printed form and marks up the final measurements by hand. If you're ahead of the curve, those notes go onto a tablet instead. Either way, what comes back isn't a completed survey, it's a set of field notes. The office then has to recreate the survey: reading the scribbles and entering every detail into the supplier's system. The same information is captured once on site and then again at a desk, so every order gets processed twice.

And every time someone has to interpret handwritten notes, the chance of an error increases. Look at 1609 and 1906 in untidy handwriting; they're easily confused. One swapped digit is enough for a window to arrive the wrong size, leading to a remake, a lost fitting day, and a disappointed customer. The error starts in the office, but it's only uncovered on site, standing in front of the customer.

How it works

Captured once, at the window.

1SurveyPal

The survey goes out ready

Your office sends a prepared survey to the surveyor's phone or tablet, or the surveyor builds one from scratch, item by item, walking the house.

2SurveyPal

It checks as they work

Building regs and your own rules applied on the spot: a frame finish that doesn't match, a cill that doesn't match the frame, flagged while the surveyor is still at the window.

3SurveyPal

It's finished on the drive

No handwriting to decipher, no retyping at a desk. The survey is official the moment the surveyor walks away, and what goes to your supplier is what was measured.

The cheapest place to catch an error is while you’re still standing in front of the window.

Photos and sketches too, landing inside the Hub. And it all works with no signal, because SurveyPal is a native app, fully offline.

What it's worth

Count both costs.

First the hours: every survey typed up at a desk is the same survey done twice. Then the errors, count one honestly: a wrong-size window is the remake cost, the refitting day, the crew that could have been earning elsewhere, and the customer explaining to their neighbours why the opening's boarded. All for a digit that flipped between a driveway and a desk.

Handled once, at the house, not again at the desk.

Flagged at the window, not discovered on fitting day.

What the surveyor measured is what the supplier gets.

No signal on site? No problem, SurveyPal works fully offline.

Now run it with your real numbers.

Part of The Glazing Hub

One platform, not another app.

SurveyPal is part of The Glazing Hub, the App Store for glazing. One subscription, every product included, unlimited users. You pay for what gets done, through credits. And the platform connects: SurveyPal surveys can flow straight into DocChecker's document checking (SurveyPal Connect), with more connections arriving all the time.

FAQ

The questions surveyors ask.

A phone or tablet. SurveyPal is a native app that works fully offline, so no signal is needed on site. Your office can send prepared surveys out, or the surveyor builds one on the device walking the house.

Yes. Take or upload photos and draw in the sketch section as you survey. Photos and sketches land inside the Hub alongside the survey.

No. SurveyPal surveys are built from your items and your rules, the structure your business already surveys to, made official at the point of capture.

Building regs and your own rules, applied as the surveyor works, like a frame finish that doesn’t match the rest, or a cill that doesn’t match the frame, flagged while they’re still at the property.

It’s built for the job: walk the house, fill it in item by item, done when you leave. The bit surveyors like least, being rung up three days later to decode their own margins, disappears.

SurveyPal is included in The Glazing Hub subscription, as every Hub product is. Unlimited users, no per-user fees, so every surveyor can have it on their phone. You pay for actions through credits in your plan, with top-ups if you need more.
